Turkana University College Principal, Prof. Egara Kabaji was feted on the 7th November 2017 in a colourful ceremony during the 24th International African Writer's Day held in Accra, Ghana.

 

The Principal was granted the Pan African Writer's Association (PAWA) Honorary Membership Award in recognition of his contribution to the development of African literature.The PAWA Honorary Membership Award consists of a Diploma certificate, a PAWA Plaque, a Gold medal and the PAWA stool of loyalty.

 

TUC Principal, Prof. Egara Kabaji has written over 30 children's books. He has been on the Literature scenes since early 1990's when he presented popular programmes on KBC radio in advancement of literature.The programme included Books and Bookmen, Culture Talk and Literature Talk. He also pioneered newspaper columns, literature forums and literature discourse and he continues to fervently write on Literature, Culture, and Education.
